Axis releases P33 Series Dome Cameras
New cameras offer technological horsepower with grace.

Axis unveiled their new P33 Series Dome cameras this month. The new series packs more features into more models than previous offerings. True to Axis' style of leading the market with technological progression, every camera in the new series comes with the highly touted H.264 protocol. Not to get technical, but H.264 is a magnificent achievement with the quality of video it can provide in regard to its bandwidth foot print.
In a new move for Axis, the new series outdoor models come with an extra hardy low temperature operation rating of -40C to +50C. That's just the outdoor dome by itself without additional hardware! By making a camera that can function in more parts of the world, Axis has expanded its possible customer base in a single step.
Another new feature of the P33 Series is Axis' Remote Focus and Zoom technology. Getting the desired image is now easier then ever. Small adjustments can be done remotely without the need to return to the installation point. That's a big plus if the camera is installed into a hard to reach place that requires special hardware to reach.
Despite packing in great new features, Axis still found the time to provide really great hardware and programming which provides their general wealth of features. Great low lighting specifications, an extensible API, and local SD card storage round out a great series.
This dome comes with 2 way audio and 1MegaPixel HDTV as well. Great new additions that set an impressive trend that suggest further strides in the rest of Axis' offerings to come.
